2018 Workshops

There are a wide variety of workshops available for 2018. The length of professional development will vary as well as the topics and the target audience. All sessions are eligible for CEU credit.

Central PA Section Meeting

The 26th Annual Spring PTRA workshop will be held in conjunction with the Central PA AAPT section meeting on April 6, 2018 at Penn State- Schuylkill Campus with Mike Gallis serving as host.  The Spring workshop will spend time exploring activities on gravitational waves and activities related to understanding Quantum Computing.  Dave McCachren, Alice Flarend and Pat Callahan serve as the Central PA Section PTRA Workshop Team.  Additional information and registration information can be found at http://www.aaptcps.org/AAPTCPS_Meetings/AAPTCPS_Meetings.htm

Summer 2018: Informational Technology, Gravitational Waves, and Black Holes
Texas will host two sites, one week each, to address current physics topics such as gravitational waves, EHT (Event Horizon Telescope), Black Holes, Uncertainty Principle, and Cyber Security. The cost will be $350 and the cost does NOT include travel or lodging, but it will include equipment to take back to your classroom. 

Dates: June 18-22, Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, Ft. Worth, TX

August  6-10, Lee College, Baytown TX.
