The University of West Georgia Physics Department is excited to again be able to host a summer institute June 9-20, 2014 for teachers in grades 3-12. The project was funded by the Georgia State Education Department and was called SMITE (Science and Math Institute for Teacher Education). The director of the project is Dr. Bob Powell and the workshop leaders are PTRAs who are experienced in providing STEM professional development for teachers in grades K-12.
