Idaho State University hosted a workshop July 10-13, 2017 in Pocatello. The workshop was funded by Change the Equation and Idaho State. The content focus was solar energy and preparation for the 2017 eclipse which will have totality in a large portion of Idaho on August 21.
The workshop had 34 participants who were primarily secondary teachers, but also had teachers of grades 4-6. The follow up session is scheduled in October to coincide with the state Idaho science conference where participants will present activities they did with their students regarding GPS, and data collected during the eclipse.
